Ancient Japan Pokemon Trainer

This work was inspired by 's contest about the history of the Pokemon-world I'm not entering with this one, because this [link] is my entry and my decision is final to keep this one as the final entry

But this one was fun doing, too I've got another sketch lying there of a woman and a ninetales but I like this one better. I don't know how many websites I've searched for style references without copying anything. I wanted to make up something myself and I did I know the kimono is not accurate but I liked it better that way. And the man is not tall and slender enough but again, I like it better that style. I have read a lot about ancient Japanese art, so I know it's not perfect but on the other hand, Arcanines don't exist nor does the Pokemon-world, so...

I printed the cleaned lineart (cleaned with MS Paint) on parchment because it looks better now. I don't think it needs colour, I like it better that way. So it is finished^^
